The First Home Owner Grant is government incentive for qualified first home purchasers who buy or construct a residential property to live in.
Ordinarily, you may be eligible if you:
Are purchasing a new home or building a new home. (as an individual)
Have not owned residential property before.
Apply for grant inside of 12 months of settlement.
Have never gotten the grant before.
All applicants must be at least 18 at settlement or completion of construction (although there is discretion with this age requirement),
Are a citizen or permanent resident (or at least one applicant) of Australia at the time of settlement or completion of the home’s construction.
You (or at least one applicant) must intend to live in the home as your Principal Place of Residence for at least 12 months, commencing within 12 months of settlement or completion of construction
